Fly-fishing Slovenia

Awesome fishing day with Matej. He took me, my father and my 6 year old son out for a great day on a river that was perfect for beginners. It was my son's first time ever fly fishing and Matej helped him hook and land several rainbows. Great company, excellent communication and very pleasant overall experience for our family. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants to experience the wonderful fly-fishing Slovenia has to offer with a trusted and knowledgeable guide.

Great day out with Matej. Felt like I was fishing with an old friend, on his home river. Learned some new techniques and caught some beautiful grayling. Communication was great throughout the process, and the delicious lunch spread was a bonus. Highly recommend!

My friend and I were driving Slovenia for a week and wanted to make the most of the fly fishing scene and what it has to offer. We found Matej through trip adviser and got in contact with him. We received a reply instantly, and Matej made our experience easy. We were treated to an awesome day of fishing, learning how to fly fish, beautiful scenery and plethora of knowledge from Matej himself. We travelled europe for 2 months and this was without a doubt one of the best days of our trip. This was my first time fly fishing and was made a great experience by Matej's sharing of and extensive knowledge of the fish and river. He was patient while I developed the basics and was a great person to spend the day with. Matej is highly responsive, helpful and I highly recommend him as an instructor and look forward to the next trip.
